These are fantastic. I've nothing useful to add and there isn't a gold star smiley.

Great pics - dramatic settings with the thunderous looking skies.

Fantastic images, very atmospheric.
Were these manipulated or are the colours as a result of the long exposure? I know on film stock you can get weird colours on long time exposures so was just wondering if the same is true of digital?

Weird colours come from the ND filters, I have 2x 4 stop ND s and a 2stop ND grad, event though they are supposed to be neutral with that much glass in front you do get a pink heu, I have attempted to correct white balance but cannot balance the entire scene but I can live with the pink tinge.
Ross, the facebook pics were previously posted here under Delkin Fat Gecko, I just wanted to use one for my profile pic on facebook.
Thanks for the comments, Jason I know what you mean about the jaunty angles, I was trying to fit more foreground in but with that many filters on the front I cannot go wider than 13 or 14mm otherwise they creep into the frame. When my 10stop ND arrives I wont need that many and will try to make straigter pictures

A calender full of 'Smee' shots only at this rate
I'm trying to decide if I should just give up with the camera now, or be inspired....
