Chavmobile no.3 (NLC)

Post by philthy » Tue Nov 23, 2010 10:16 am

Had this for a good few months and not posted any pics up, its an Evo 9 FQ340, pretty standard mechanically. More mods to come next year- a better fuel pump, boost controller and remap should see 400bhp.

The weather was good on Sunday so thought I'd wash, polish and wax the car before it starts getting properly miserable. Ive got the car the way I want it to look now (wheels, suspension, aero bits and peices) so thought I'd share some pictures

I'm not really into 'detailing' but can I still appreciate a clean looking car.
I can recommend Collinite wax for winter time, it should last til March.

Comments welcome.

Looking very smart! I like it (must be my inner chav  ) 8)

The tyres look a bit too narrow for the wheels?

cheers all!

Dom - the wheels are 9.5" wide and have 245s on, pretty much the limit before they start to rub badly

Sanj - Its William Quarrier's school house, I have a flat within the building. Bit of info for you - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quarrier's_Village

Scott - This one is just a road car I'm afraid, doubt it will even see much track use next year :(

Don - US spec rears would be nice but think I'd rather spend the money on power mods
I was gonna post up a pciture of the interior but some wee scumbag stole the nice touchscreen headunit so I have a hole in the dash right now...

Looking very nice (now have a hankering for my old VIII now).

If you are getting any mods done then make sure you pop along to Extreme motorsport in Whitburn, Evo experts around these parts :D

I got mine for $40. Albeit they are not the 9 or MR ones just the silver backed ones as I didn't want to make a lookalike MR.

400/400 should be easily achievable as you probably know and perfect for a road car. 8)

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

If only you could shoehorn 3 kids into the back of it I'd have one

Not got kids but surely 3 kids is possible in the back - they are just like a normal car inside. The only issue is with the boot struts which means that you sometimes have to do some careful packing if you are carrying a lot of stuff..

If not then you need the following:

Admit that a RS4 Avant does look nicer but this is very stealthy.

Looks very nice and shiney.

I have to say though I do prefer the looks of the older style EVO 6/7

Cheers
