Stelvio 2001 memories

Post by campbell » Fri Jul 28, 2006 1:02 am

A few of us over on SE1 have wandered off down memory lane.

Here are some of my very favourites from our archive...

The original Team Scottish Elises assembles at Hillend

Fat Bob Fisics shows us the way to Espana

Paul couldn't find a car wash

Image

"Shepherd to Lost Sheep, Shepherd to Lost Sheep..."

Image

Bonkers in Barcelona

Image

David and Goliath...or..."Road opening June 2015"

Image

Nightfall over Toledo

Image

L to R...Tony (grandfather of Stelvio trips), Robin, Jane, Lisa

Image

Representative behaviour from none other than...

Image

Heading into the Picos...but can you spot the missing car

Image

No Limits

Image

Danger, reservoir, no swimming...but several still did!

Image

Idyllic. Yet txts were arriving telling us that 9/11 had just started happening several thousand miles away...

Homeward bound

Clearly not up to the standard of Chris King's awesome pictorial account (http://www.chris-king.org.uk/Lotus/Stelvio2001/), but good enough to bring back the memories. Happy days.

Can not believe how well that Hotel fitted in with my nickname.

Would be great to go back there again, you really do have to see it to believe it, and as for the whole leg or shoulder of lamb each for dinner.............
