Any classic Mini fans?

Post by LotusLee » Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:52 pm

Thought I'd post a few pics of my mates Mini, its a wee cracker. Can't remember the full spec but its a 1380 MED engine ,286 cam, 45 Weber and is pretty rapid and LOUD.
Apologies for the photoshoppedness :D

Little beaut, but suspect the lights weigh more than the car.

What a stunning wee piece of kit! I once had a mini clubman estate 850 automatic with roof bars lol it was beige with a brown stripe lol like my boxers after driving it hahaha, after engaging reverse I needed yo pop a foot out the door to give her a hee help to get moving lol, great fun and lots of fond memories :thumbsup

Lovely had a few :thumbsup .Takes me back to my first rusty Mini van with no syncro in first ,learning double clutching  slide windows, air vent in the roof, eight track player with Paul & Simon's Mrs Robinson making me deaf, the tapes came with the mini I very much hasten to add....Mine was fitted with town and country tyres about £8 quid each as I was doing a lot of shooting off road at the time . Oh and my best memory :thumbsup sitting by the fire grinding in valves after I blew the head time after time

LOL yeah they are a bit OTT and with the four pot calipers on the front I wouldn't be surprised to see it doing a stoppie.
p.s just noticed that my camera was set to 3 mega pixels when I took the pics

It might be , he is considering selling it and getting a 111R, he's had mini's for the last 20 years and fancies a change.
