Was staying in Fort William at the weekend to see the British round of the World Trial Championship. It was a one day event this year with Saturday practice so had time for a run to Eilean Donan on Friday and Mallaig on Saturday evening. It will be on Eurosport2 at some point and I have uploaded some videos here;

Some pics from this years event at Penrith. I have a fair bit of video footage to upload so keep an eye on my video link at top of page as the course plotters decided to really challenge the top lads this year.

The pic below was a fluke, I was trying to get a pic of Cabestany riding off of the rock :) Whilst it looks like his bike is resting against the rock it had actually just landed with a handful of throttle still on and was fired towards some spectators luckily not hitting anyone .

Your welcome to have a go on mine if you like, they weigh around 67kg. Just found this video on the net of one rider getting it wrong on the jump through a tree section. :shock:

Peter is Saturday any good or maybe after LEGS meet on Sunday ? Have you had much experience riding motorbikes, I have a couple of practice spots and will need to work out where would be best for you to give it a try.

Hi, my main challenge at the moment is that my wife is due to give birth on saturday but, as is often the case, this could happen any time. I am due to come up to Perth on Sunday, hopefully bringing in a helicopter from Gleneagles. I may have my daughter with me though and need to get back by early afternoon.

In the past I used to have bikes as a kid but have not really ridden one for 20 years! I do a lot of montain biking so balance etc should be fine but not looking to climb any vertical rock faces. Would be great to get a go some time, I used to have a Bultaco 350, TY50 & TY125 (all sheds)and would love another but have no idea where you can just go and use one.

Cheers, Peter

You'll notice a big difference between the old twinshock TY's and a modern bike . There are a couple of official practise places and a couple of clubs aimed specifically at beginners/wobblers :) , one of them is run by a friend in Fife (East Neuk Wobblers) and they will let you ride without the need for a SACU licence. The best way to get access to really good bits of ground that you otherwise would never get to use is to get the SACU licence and compete. I'll pm you my phone number and you can phone to arrange a play when you have time.
Cheers Lee

Fantastic skill. :shock:
I remember making little wooden ramps to jump off when I had a Chopper bike.
Only thing I managed to get was a bent bike and skinned knees.
