Campaganza 2012
Re: Campaganza 2012
Thanks folks.
Camera is my trusty old Canon 40d and I've used sigma 10-20, canon efs 17-85, 50mm prime and 70-200f4 L for these shots and ND grads for the sunsets. I used a 10stop ND for one of the pics of my elise but could not keep the shutter open long enough to really ur the clouds because tourists kept parking in front of the camera!
Thanks again.

Loving your work, Smee. My Dad (a professional landscape photographer) reckons you are wasted in veterinary medicine. And his Dad was a vet too. So he should know
For anyone looking at your stuff and thinking "how DOES he do it", the composition is king. Get that right, and the rest can just flow. Albeit a clear understanding of how to get the best out of your chosen camera, and the "tricks of the light", really sets a nice picture apart from a brilliant one. My "nice" ones are a case in point
But you don't need expensive hardware to get a fine result. Just like with Elises eh

Your German Short Haired pointer reminds me of my dog, used to have one called Freya and had to have her put down when she was 9. One of the best dogs I've owned, really want another

Agree with that Campbell, he takes some of the best photos that I have seen.
Have provisionally booked him in the future for Clare's wedding.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures.....
The ND Grad filters are an absolute must though for landscape photography and providing the impact that they do to the sky. What filters are you using Andrew, and have you found a suitable one for your 10-20? I've looked at cheap all the way through to the expensive and keep putting the purchase off!

As has been said, grad filters are a must for landscape shots, but it's hard to justify the cost if you are only doing it every now and again.

Really like this. The colours are great!
