My New toy

Post by Kinger » Sun Apr 28, 2013 10:17 pm

Hi,

Just picked up my new toy, a "Wee Westie" Hybrid turbo 217 Hp, a big change from Exige but god is it quick. Now just need to book up for SIDC in june and any other track days. Hoping its nice tomorrow and I'll get out for a wee run. The clutch is fearsome, just bite and go. Felt quite sorry for the guy selling it, he'd never had it out in the rain since he built it and there was me taking it away in the rain.

Now need to try and fit towing eyes.

(Only advert pics as car is now covered in dirt, will try and get a couple tomorrow if a nice day)

Cheers

Graham

That looks brilliant Graham. Look forward to seeing it going round Knockhill.

Thanks again for the Toyos!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

No further comment required.

First mid life crisis was a Tiger and always wanted a Westfield.

Pray tell what the engine is? From the exhaust looks like a bike engine. Hyabusa??? Or something else??

The suspense is killing me but work is manic at the moment so may have to wait a few days until I can look under the bonnet.

Will be in touch.

Hi David,

I'm just back after a run and it had me squirming too. Power delivery is ferocious compared to the Exige, managed to spin up the back wheels in third with hard accelaration just after I come out of a bend. I'll need to work out how the dash mounted "Greddy" boost control works as the boost must be set very hi just now. That and a set of 888's

Still grinning from ear to ear, it was just so quick compared to the Exige. I now know why the guy who sold it had never had it out in the wet.

Cheers

Graham

Looks good and sounds like serious fun. The power delivery must be quite brutal, little torque then massive rush of power. Have you started investigation launch/traction control yet? :-)
