A Few Fife Castles

I have been on holiday all week but so far had been too busy to drive my car so decided to go for a wee tour of some of the local castles. I also blew the stoor of my camera but someone kept parking their car in the shot
These are my first shots of my car with its new big scoop roof. I think it looks miles better with this.
Most were taken with my Nikon D7000 but 2 were taken with my phone - Samsung Galaxy S3. I have got to say I prefer the camera pictures over my £600 DSLR!
Dairsie Castle

Double yellows
Nice pictures, though the first one is out of focus, and would be better with something in the foreground to draw your eye into the picture.
Would you recommend any of the castles that you went to?
Steve.

You do take a good photo Stewart
Car/Castles and cows look stunning (Friesian Lesbians I think?)
Samsung Galaxy is well above average when it comes to the camera

Thanks Steve. It was hoaching round St Andrews Castle so I stopped for about a minute to take 2 or 3 pictures.
Not sure why Dairsie Castle is out of focus. I found my circular polarising filter and I think I should probably put it in the bin. Better results are available using Lightroom.
I never actually went into any of the castles so can't really comment. I did like the aspect of Balgonie Castle as you had to drive through the policy park over cattle grids to get to it. I believe that they do weddings in there but no sign of any nuptials today.
Kellie Castle seemed to have a fair bit going on with a cafe and shop however the cafe is closed Thursday Friday. Some good roads in that corner of Fife though.
I used to work directly opposite Falkland Castle and live about 10 miles away and I have still never been in it

. I think of the castles above that would probably be the best one to visit. Some great walks also available around nearby Falkland Estate.
I had a few others in my satnav to visit but got bored so headed home to process the photos.

Thanks, I agree on the Samsung. Other than a zoom it does make me wonder why I bother with a DSLR.
I am no expert but I believe the cows to be holsteins although no doubt still lesbians

Shot 9 (car closer with cows) must be a contender for the 2014 calender!

Doesn't matter what you use to take them, 9 and 10 are my favourites, loving the coos!
