I'll keep posting if people are interested in seeing the build. I had started a build thread on Norlog, but the site seems to have gone kaput!

After selling of the Elise bits I don't need, you can tell I'm in the process of buying all the parts I need, just now, actual build is slowed due to very cold garage!! - resuming as soon as it gets above freezing.

these arrived today:ImageImageImage
these are new AP front 2 pot calipers with Pagid RS 14 pads to go on the back of the car.
just need to get the bells now and get them on.

SE does love a build thread. One of the most popular reads I reckon

Keep it coming.

Oh and put a wee oil rad in your garage!

a bit of progress...
trial fitted the spot calipers on rear for handbrake:Image

also new Longerons arrived:

ally panels behind are for quick release rear clam mounting:
brackets for this here:Image
these bolt on top of Longerons and ally panels bolt onto outsides and then fixed into rear clam to allow whole rear section to be slotted on and lifted off very easily and quickly. The ally panels also provide the mounting points for the rear wing.
I'll post some pics when I've fitted them.

cheers guys, No Sanjoy, is this literally what you've suggested? a tea light in a plant pot? (upside down?) - I'll try it.

I assume you have electricity in your garage? I use a 2kw electric blower heater (bought from Lidl a while back but I see screwfix do similar). It’s shaped like the old gas blowers you used to get in industrial units but smaller.

It works well for giving you a few degrees of heat and can be directed toward where you’re working. Not overly expensive either. Image (just as another option)
