Getting it back together now which is very rewarding.

some gremlins rearing their heads like indicators not working and washer pump dead. Going to be a brand new car at this rate of replacing parts

Save weight and don’t add the indicators or washers pump. If you don’t add them, you don’t have issues with them.

I can remember that from my old one too, the over sill had rubber edge which I’ve ordered 👍🏼
It’s an awkward shape to PPF, esp the front lip. Will need to come up with something. Saw a company doing the DIY PPF kits but at £400 I’d be as well paying a professional to do it.

I can remember there was a factory kit as an option
I asked a local reputable company for a quote to ppf lower front of my new to me 2010 Boxster Spyder, quote was £1500 which was using pre-cut film

Think I’ll make do with just stick something larger than standard on the rear arches myself.

PS Car looks amazing :love

Indicators turned out to be the hazard light switch in the end

Took all the switches out as some were sticking and the fog light switch wasn’t engaging/disengaging so just an on/off button. Definitely an MOT failure.

Cleaned them all out with electrical contact cleaner- what came out of them was shocking. I rebuilt the fog switch now all working perfectly. I don’t recommend anyone actually disassembles the switches!

Front end making progress now. MOT booked so now have a deadline to finish the entire to do list which is growing arms and legs (spot it in the background 😂)

Analogue Automotive chose a great switch cluster. Get one of those

Ditch the Peugeot crap !

Thought about it and if they cause any more issues I will - they are up to £65 per switch now for new pug ones if you can find them

Car is 99% complete 😁

Still got to fit side grills and undertrays but that won’t take long.

Had an issue with the rear brake binding on but think I’ve sorted it by freeing up the handbrake mechanism.

Fingers crossed the MOT goes well, geo getting done at the same time

Hoping I can make it something when I’m home this time or next.

Fitted the side grills today, quite proud of my home made effort

That’s looking awesome! Showed the picture to my 5 year old and he said he liked your car more than mine I can’t really argue with that opinion though
