Cheers to thinforth for a shot of his SLR...(Camera, not Caterham! ) - Makes the efforts below from a £40 'point and shoot' look decidely ropey!!

Nice work Gareth. Did you realise you had the ISO set to 1600? It was pretty grey today and I hadn't realised I had mine set at 800 to begin with. It has resulted in some pretty grainy efforts (nikon).

Before KH today I had to go to City Link to pick up my new lens. 70-300mm 4.5-5.6G ED VR :D

Below are my first efforts with it and am fairly pleased considering the poor light.

G, some good shots, would love to see the exif data, make sure you aint just got it set to Auto!

Stewart, saw you i think down by the hairpin at about 12, there were three of us all there with pervy lenses! I had my 70-300 Tamron with me and got some reasonable panning shots which i will post up later, but your VR lens looks good. Is it grey? In which case you were the one i was thinking better not get in the pros way!

Anyway out on the lash with Mr Paine tonight who is currently schmoozing women in Montys so had better get on. Si, i will call you back tomorrow when i have some battery mate.

Dave

I downloaded an addon for Firefox that allows you to right click and see the exif data.

Sorry I didn't speak then. Never quite sure when I see snappers if they are pros, SIDCers or SEers. :) My lens is black, I think the grey ones are canon lenses. I was the one with the blue fleece (ontop of a black one :)) and a blue wooly hat.

Cheers
