dry, sunny, rather warm and not as crowded as other years,
the price increase to 19 Euro a lap must start having effect
the Elise with AUDI and 048's amazed quite a few ppl, including some bikers (not succeeding to pull away on straights

)
more power does mean more fuel , as I found out the week before , halted just before Galgentopf without fuel
more carefull this Easter week-end, refuelled 3 times a day

well , there is a story to that ..............
my passenger is known for bad luck and instantly apologised when the car started spluttering.
he ran out of fuel earlier that same day and had to pay 180 Euro for a flatbed to take his bike off the track to the parking -where some clever d*ck turned the tap on reserve and started his engine...
so when the marshals arrived with all the flashlights and stuff I already thought "expensive"
I walked over to the marshals and started in my best german language something like: flatbed takes 30 minutes, my mate is already on his way with can of fuel, we are in a safe spot, sure you have better things to do, have a year card, first time ever, won't take long, sorry for inconvenience, bla, bla, bla ..........
they said " you know we should.................etc., but ok, don't be here too long" and drove off to an accident elsewhere.......
so I was lucky (my innocent looks for sure)
and my passenger was really p*ssed off now

Same thing happened to me that year that poor old Giles went on to get fuel and then binned it on the return lap

I smiled at the marshalls and they left us alone ...
Cheers,
