More SIDC vids

Post by Digital » Mon May 28, 2007 10:09 pm

A couple of videos from Saturday:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6608749624 - fairly short video, session was truncated by the silver Impreza in the gravel on the inside of the track after Clarks, not sure if they made it as far as the tyre barrier :?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 4277423116 - a longer video, BrianJ's Exige at around the 6 min 30 mark, following a blue S2 Elise about the 9 min mark.

Not very fast, hopefully that'll come when I'm a bit more confident with the car :)

You looked like you were going fine, considering it was your first time in the car....

Look on the brightside... you may not have been as fast as its first owner but at least you were faster than its 2nd one......

Good stuff! Hope you enjoyed it - probably quite fast enough first time out :)

Just a matter of building speed gradually.

Thanks, it certainly felt quick enough for the moment :)

I'm still a bit short of confidence at Duffus, the VX always felt like the tail end wanted to come around, bit of a mental block I think! I need to get the brakes sorted out so I can heel & toe, in the VX I could just about manage it but it's physically impossible with the Exige the way it is :(

Dave, you're a very bad man

The silver Scooby was a mate from work on his first track day . I was right behind him when he went off and missed the tyres by a foot. Was the S2's reg AU53 I cannot make it out on google?

Just had a look at the (slightly) higher resolution video, but I can't make it out. Would that have been yours?

Glad to hear the Scooby was OK, couldn't tell if he had made it as far as the tyres, but didn't see a damaged car coming back in to the pits so presumed they might have got away with it :)

Other than being full of stones and a couple of scratches which are polishable his car is fine.

I thought it was me and was curious to see my lines round the track if it was me . Just as I was thinking I was quite good I relised the driver had a white helmet on so it was not me  . It was the blue S2 that was much quicker than me .

That would've been Iain Williamson the the blue 135R. I can't really tell but it might be me going past at the start then right at the end following Andy though it's really blocky so hard to see.

Nice video!
Dying to get out on track....I leave Isle of Man on Friday morning. 8.15am to Hesham but I don't think I'll have time to drive up to Abz in the Morgan and pick up the 7 to get back down.
