Do the yellow bits on the jump-suit help with stability?

I think they do a bit, but they are mainly there to give the instructors something to grab onto if it all goes pear shaped during the AFF course. You can actually jump without any suit after 25 jumps, but apparently it does feel a bit different as there is less drag. Something to try next time...

I'll just be doing a tandem one not the AFF but it does look bloody cool so if I enjoy it as much as you have then I'll be very tempted. I'll either be doing it in OZ or NZ on my honeymoon 8)

Helen and me both did a tandem in Nelson at the top of NZ South Island on our honeymoon, and it was one of the major highlights of our trip, so go for it! I can highly recommend Nelson - stunning views from the air over the Abel Tasmin national park, and a great bunch of guys at the dropzone. The tandem was fantastic and gave me the urge to do AFF, but the first AFF jump felt very, very different to the tandem experience. For me it was an order of magnitude more scary, and in fact it felt right on the very limit of what I could cope with mentally for my first 3 AFF levels. Thankfully I didn't completely crack up and it did get easier :P

Fantastic Si, especially with the snowy mountains in the backdrop :thumbsup

You sure that wasn't taken in a studio with fancy wallpaper?
