Scottish Elises Flickr Photo Group

Guys,

I am in the process of setting up a Scottish Elises photo group, as i know quite a few of us already use it for hosting pics and storage.

It will be there for use by anyone who wants to upload photos or just look at everyones in one place, not to mention make it easier for us that use Flickr to simply dump our pictures into the SE group.

It may or may not take off, i know Pistonheads have set up a group which works well, so unless there are any objections then we can start using it this evening, and i will post the link to it.

Hopefully it will work, and provide us with one easy place to view everyones photos, and stop people having to e-mail for copies of high res ones as you can just download them yourself!

I've thrown a few of mine in to get things started. Are there any limits on the number of photos you can have in a group ?

John

That is a rather fetching "thinking pose" one of you on your flickr profile

Just go to http://www.flickr.com then search groups for "scottish elises"....

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong folks) that flickr lets you upload originals - so no need to request the hi-res images if you want them 8)

Aye - my (admittedly limited) understanding is that photobucket et al resize where as flickr gives you the full megapixels Bob and Al.

I have a pro account, so that should sort that out Si. As Shug says you can download any high res ones you want saved and do what you want with them.

Campbell, didn't realise there was a Photobucket account running, so we can either continue with it or transfer any pictures across.

Paul - Yes i suppose we should have a section for some of your nicer avatar pictures, come to think of it Tut's as well!

Anyway the plan is that for each event I will create a Set and any members can upload into the set or just into the general pool and i will move into the set.

The URL is http://www.flickr.com/groups/scottishelises - Maybe we could integrate into http://www.scottishelises.com/photos or something if it takes off?

Just an idea, it may well flop, but thought worth a shot!

Cheers,

Dave

I use Picasa but think it needs tied to a particular email account whereas Photobucket doesn't - not sure about Flickr.

Love Picasa right enough.
