So, what did you all think of Mt Ventoux?

Cheers,

Would like to do it at 5am with no cyclists (or runners) . Big respect for them cycling up there. You just have to watch out for the ones cycling 2 abreast with there heads down

Lovely fast sweeping road with bags of grip :D

With Scotty - it was great fun though.

Some of Col Turini that Ali and i did earlier, which make up part of the Monte Carlo Rally, were absolutely awesome also - and totally empty apart from a suicidal scooter who Ali spared - just  :D

Scooter on a slo-mo overtake on a blind crest...

Turini was awesome although some of the early, 1st gear hairpins were brutal on the car. The later, more flowing sections were superb. A nice beer n' baguette at the 'Rally' cafe at the top - remember the poor bloke who's MR2 conked out at Dover and was there in a hire eurobox...

I thought Col du Galibier was even more impressive. I did this on my own after the breakdown enforced stopover in Nice and playing catch up with the gang to Annecy. It was pretty busy but on your own is less of an issue. Really exposed as you get near the top with no barriers and BIG drops... a couple of times I backed off a bit as my 'lack of imagination' failed. :D
Bikes were next quickest on the way down, overtaking all the cars and motorbikes. :D
