Rannoch Run

Post by haggis catcher » Sat Aug 25, 2007 5:46 pm

Here are a few pictures that was taken on the Rannoch run, by Christine and i. The day was great, with only a little rain on the south side of the loch. The time we got round to the south side it had stopped, but the roads were wet. We went on to take the short cut over the mountains, and down to Loch Tay stopping of at Kemore. Then up over the hills again, and down to Creiff. It wiz just braw.

MacK took me there on the way back from Tut Towers. Great wee road - no traffic, some incredible hairpins on the way up and good road surface. :thumbsup

I'm sure it was on the way out of Aberfeldy, but MacK can confirm its exact location.

Its the road from Kenmore to Amulree. Ace bit of road! I'm sure some similar pics with more cars will be appearing tomorrow.

On leaving Kenmore to Aberfeldy, turn right as if you were going on the south side of Loch Tay, then quickly turn left up the very steep hill. Then you will be on the Glen Quaich Rd. But beware, its not a fast road, and you have to watch for other cars on the blind corners.

We met about 6 cars on the hairpins at the Kenmore end, I think thats the first time I've met any cars on that bit, was a wee bit of a squeeze at times, but we made it. 8)
