Camera mount for the Caterham

Post by Gareth » Tue Jun 19, 2007 4:07 pm

Any ideas?
No idea how and where I will attach the clamp. Guess a good place would be the roll bar.

I was looking for a small cheap camera that I could mount to the front towing eye. It has to be cheap incase it gets smashed by a stray stone. I want to mount it down there as you look like you are going faster. at first I though webcam connected to a laptop but I didnt think I would get a good enough picture.

I take it you have a bullet cam?

my bulletcam has no hole for foot mounting... I do have a good mount for cameras with a foot hole that I will bring as well just in case.

Whilst I agree that the sound may be dubbed, I don't think it has been speeded up. He's not really going that fast, but the camera position and the sound all add to the illusion of great speed. Pigeons and pedestrians seem to dodge out the way at normal speed.
Not watched it for a while but I do have it on DVD after seeing it on a satellite channel about 3 years ago. I seem to recall posting on SE1 about it at the time.

Must dig it out and stick it through the projector for a wee look.
