You were indeed trailing blue smoke last night
(my old UR Quattro Turbo did that before the Turbo expired at 80k miles)
You were also courteous and aware of other drivers as demonstrated by your in car footage

It nearly took your nose off at the Duffas (according to your first vid)
Looking a Poah's photo of me at Macintyres it's fairly obvious why the blue flags weren't being used if you look in the background
Mac
EDIT: Your right - it was a Nova, same difference - it's not a Hot Marque.

I agree with most of the above. IMO a lot of the driving by sub 10k cars was poor at best. KH staff are to blame for not using blue flags. I also believe the smoking Cossie should have been black flagged from the off.
I otherwise had a great night but I probably wont do another Hot Marques as it felt more like Hot Hatch at times, I need to feel safe and the SIDC and Dreadnought nights seem to attract a better standard of driver.

What would we say -
The big boys in there big BHP cars won't let us past?? Yeah - it's a pisser, but they've paid for their track time too (more if you consider that they are only using the wee straights) Perhaps we just have to find a way to co-exist, or give them flyers to the crail 1/4 mile events.
Apart from that I didn't think the driving standards were that bad - it's quite sanitised these days compare with how HM used to be run.

Yeah, I didn't think it was too bad. Very busy at times, especially in one session where I drove through the pits 3 times and still could not find enough space to get some clear laps in
I had enough power to get past the Carrera, M5s and the Cosworths, and with a bit of extra corner speed was pretty much a match for the GT3RS and the Noble, but it must have been infuriating if you had to rely on the other car lifting on the straight to let you by.

Red VX220 Turbo - slightly modified

The biggest problem I had was on about my 5th lap or so as I was passing the ITR he moved back on line as I was alongside, causing me to slam on my brakes and swerve into the pit lane exit. Luckily no other cars were coming out of the pits at the time. On the same lap I then came alongside on the back straight and was just ahead for the hairpin as he hadn't backed off. He then braked on the inside for the hairpin and tried to pass me in the corner. I went an complained about it but nobody seemed to give a sh*t tbh.
The only other problems I had were just people not moving over or moving over and then gunning it up the straights only for me to sit right on their arse through Duffus all the way to Clark.
It's at times like that I wish I had just a little more power

its not just the elises they arent moving over for...... they just werent moving over.
And only maybe 3-4cars/drivers were guilty of it.
Its an open track night..... they have paid there money, they have a right to be on track. As Mac said..... but maybe more emphasis should be made in briefings regarding faster cars and HAVING to pull over.
I was finding it frustrating on the straights too LOL I had the boost turned down and was just going through the corners quicker.

I did make a complaint to the knockhill staff at the end of the night. I expressed my concern over the worthiness of some of the cars for the hot marques night. They said that they would bring the subject up with management.
Probably something that needs emphasised by more people though, strength in numbers to cause effect.
Cheers
Bob.
