I had a Purple Headed Parakeet as a kid.
One year I we went away on holiday and left the bird with my Gran. She let it fly around the room but forgot to shut the window so it flew off. She decided to put the cage in the front garden in the hope that the bird would recognise it and fly back in. Next time she looked out the window she noticed that someone had nicked the cage!!
ps.. nice chair

Can't remember what 'the Mid' were technically called, nor the Kirkton lot. The Young Stobie Boys were the cool kidz at my school..

My family originate from Dundee.
