Why not come along anyway. enjoy the banter, grab a few pax laps, and you never know what can happen on the morning, as we've had cars drop out in the past.

I know that 4 of the 10 on the reserve list have said they'll be there anyway, just on the off-chance, but you are higher up the reserve list than 3 of them :)

John
I'm getting new tyres anyway so need to go to KH regardless........from past experience is it worthwhile turning up early (and what time is that?) and hoping for some "no shows" or does that rarely happen (and it looks like I'd need 2 anyway)?

Yeah I already told you to turn up and give you best pleading 'please let me on' look.

Got your email John, Hotmail was filtering the multiple addresses, warm up groups are there but no indemnity forms so apologies for my usual standard of laxness. Have my driving license now though, held together with sellotape :D

Mon the dry track and tyres to kill

another top morning at KH courtesy of SIDC :thumbsup

great to put more faces to names and see the usual faces (albeit one without any hair  ), and I did my best to whore myself out as a passenger too, so big thanks to Dezzy, Tut and John. Very educational and I will be biting the bullet next time  :D

driving standard/etiquette looked pretty good from the pax seat and a good turnout too :thumbsup

cheers

Really enjoyed myself today. Great trackday. :D :D :D 8)

Loads of grip thanks to the great weather. I'm definitely still at novice speeds, but I'm really happy with my driving this morning. Starting to get the lines right most of the time (although I still really struggle with the hairpin), my confidence has really came on and I'm quite happy with my smoothness. Now just need to build up the speed and start braking a bit later! :D

Thanks to John for the excellent organisation as usual. :thumbsup Driving etiquette was great overall as usual, although even I was held up in the corners a couple of times by someone who just wasn't willing to move over in the straights. If I'm being held up, they must be *really* slow!

The journey back had an interesting "moment"! Some idiot pulled out of a minor road right in front of me, Martin and Jon shortly after leaving KH. They clearly didn't even look. I had my lights on and they should definitely have been able to see me. I had to slam on the brakes and swerve onto the opposite side of the road to avoid going right into the side of him. If there had been a car coming the opposite way, I probably wouldn't be here right now! Martin said he didn't even notice him and Jon overtaking him after the incident. Completely fcuking oblivious!   :rage

Martin/Jon, sorry I lost you on the M80 on the way back . .. when the hell are these muppets on our roads ever going to learn that the outside lane is for overtaking? They just would not move over! :rage

Apart from the muppets on the way home, I had a great day and can't wait til the next one (SAROC on 24th August for me)!

Ill just echo the sentiments of everyone else. Really good fun today.
Interesting sharing the track with Jimmy McCrae!

Ally also identified my pinking problem at the hairpin...turn the traction control off. Its so unimtrusive I normally just leave it on!

A couple of rediculously quick Evo's from the time attack on track (thatll be the ones that made your eyes burn when they passed you...must be running on Saki!)...and then we saw the Pro class who made the same cars look as if they were going backwards

The wee mini was fantastic to watch I stayed behind him for a lap just to watch him get it side ways at every corner :thumbsup

Just enough time to get changed before heading out for Dundee Beers!

Many thanks to John again for a top morning. :beer

Yeah I had a grandstand seat for thr "dezzy gets his car written off show" seemed to be more interested in avoiding puddles (by swerving into the middle of the road when I'm going for the overtake) and arguing with his mrs than concentrating on what he was doing!

aside from that I had an excellent day, first time on track at an sidc day and it certainly lived up to its billing - thanks john 8)

I think I might have graduated from stunningly sh*te as well !

Another great SIDC day, big thanks to John for organising a great event once again :thumbsup

Nice to meet a few more of you guys today, good turnout of the Lotus contingent again! Driving standards seemed really good, biggest concern was trying to get out of the way of the really big power cars (including BigD!), Jimmy McRae's Impreza was just stupidly quick

Scotty, made the same mistake as you when I left, was wondering why my keyfob wasn't unlocking the car, then realised my harnesses aren't Lukes

Thoroughly excellent day, thumbsup to John once again. Although it was busy track etiquette was superb and few red flags.

Definitely the most fun day at KH this year, grip level was high and weather was perfect.

Hope everyone enjoyed their pax laps, I was certainly having some fun especially at the hairpin. I had Walshy's word ringing in my ears when holding a nice drift 'just enough pressure to get 1500 revs' to keep the car powering out. Of course sooner or later I was going to overcook it so soon as the car was at 90 degrees to the direction I should be going my brain automatically switched to 'Autotesting mode' and buried the go pedal to complete a donut and be on my way.

Unfortunately there were cars coming so I had to back out of it once half way round my donut and stay perched on the apex as just about everyone passed me  Looking forward to the pics of my smoking tyres :D

Another set of tyres gone, once again thanks to Wheelsaround for their excellent service, no dramas this time

I stuck around for some of the Time Attack but my hay fever was kicking in by that point and decided to head home.

Top day.

edit: ps, it was another awesome turn out from SE
