Most recent was age 70+ driver coming through a red light near home (they mistake the right turn filter for a straight on green I think)...also with kiddie in front pax seat without regulation child seat.

That's a bad one IMHO.

Anyway, sorry for thread hijack.

Best of luck sorting it Dezzy and be sure to wash underneath that neck brace

Dezzy, glad to see your getting on well. Best of luck with the insurance co. from what's been said you should be able to build a reasonable case.

I agree with Richard...steer clear of opinion and judgement, and stick to pure categorical facts. Landmarks and timings help, which unfortunately there may be a lack of on such a bland piece of road...but you know the scene better than any of us.

If you've got photos there should be debris on the road marking the point of impact. You are looking for the sort of stuff that falls of the inside of your/his wheel arch which (AFAIK) makes a small pile on the road marking the exact point the first collision occured. Not so much debris as dirt.

So I was once told anyway.

I crashed my motorbike , then 4 years exactly give or take 5 minutes I wrote of my car . I dont go out on the 15th of March.

At the tight S on the Stewarton road I went round teh bend to see a volvo cutting the corner . I dont know who got the bigger fright .

sorry to hear this Dezzy

after seeing your car in full flight in my rear view mirror its gutting to see it in such a mess

however im assuming with two vehicles colliding at 40+ mph without much braking im very reassured at how well its held up

it is rubbish that people always assume things from the cars we drive and groups we hang around in ie police etc

if anything they should know elises handle better than most cars and therefore are less likely to be on the wrong side of the road?

and I know for a fact you are not a member of the total nutter society from our run to twynholm mate

gutted for you....but got a feeling you will be out and about in a new elise and posting with

again in no time mate
