Landy? But you'll have to fit a fuel tank, tax and MOT it, pick it up from the midlands and set off yesterday cosa it only does 40 mph (downhill)

You would have been welcome to the e-bay beast but I’m currently waiting for a new air mass meter, the last one having been killed by a three mega ton backfire.
If anyone ever needs it as a tow vehicle etc (and its working) then they are welcome to it.
Suffice to say I'm not too precious about it, just use the hammer provided to square off any new dents before giving it back.

V8 LPG - Just as well it is an LPG, although the V8 sounds ace!
I am struggling to get 25mpg outta the 2.5 TD5, although it is an old man auto Greg, has also the toys, SAT NAV - and your gonna lend me your duck tapped effort!
I look forward to it!

Yup, when its on the expensive stuff, which it never is, it gets about 13mpg.
Its not actually all that good, just OK rather than slow. It has a slightly better power curve than my old gent's TD5 since there is no turbo lag but it really doesn't feel any faster.
On balance I'd have a TD5 in preference but I did pay £800 for a top of the range one which is in moderately good nick and that doesn't get you a TD5. The series 2 is also much better than the S1 from a suspension / comfort point of view. I’ll get a TD5 next time round.

I'm back on the hunt - Mr hay can't help out with his bus... so before I give enterprise £80/day for a suitable tank, can anyone help out?
