A bit of polish and TLC and you'd add a grand to that easy
That's ceratinly a new low, well that doesn't mention cat C or D anyway. I've long thought they'd bottom out about £5k, just not this soon.

Yup - new screen, refresh of the normal bits and it`d be good to go. Would be a fun project for sure. Advert also states Hpi clear so not written off repaired.....

Iain B is probably on the train to London as we speak with £3,995 cash in his pocket!!!!!

If its a money pit, it`ll be no different to any of the cars I`ve had
Least it`s cost you not a lot to buy in the first place.

and it's a cheaper place to start out. New screen would be £50 off of the insurance, a suspension refresh assuming the S2 dampers are fine £500 and another £500 tops for a spare K, maybe a rad and a few other bits for another £500. A bargain for those of the scraped knuckle persuasion

Ideal if you have a reasonable car and are looking to go Honda. Take good bits off yours, sell it and buy that as a place to start.
Anybody know when we might be able to get them on classic car type policies??

I thought it was 10 years for some insurers, so that would include the earliest of S1s - anyone on here got theirs on Classic insurance?

Adrian Flux told me a few years ago that it was 10yrs and it would qualify for 'modern classic' or something... that's when I was looking at a TVR Chim anyway.
I have no signature.

I think mine is on some kind of "classic" policy with Heritage. Mind it is £460 p.a. but includes free track day cover (for car club arranged days).

I know how much a 5 year old one costs to run

- never mind a 9 or 10 year old one
