AA v RAC

Post by meatball » Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:44 pm

I'm sure this will be an over-used question, but.....who do most of you guys go with (I don't need warranty just yet) for vehicle recovery etc, and if you don't mind me asking what is the cost?

You are high up an Alpine pass in France, it's a French Public Holiday, you have no telephone signal, the nearest village is 25 miles away and your radiator hose has just fallen off. It's noon and the sun is blazing high above you, you do not speak French.

You have a choice of AA or RAC but only 2 hand tools......... and no actual idea as to where you are ;)

Go with AA as RAC terms state must have a spare tyre, or atleast so im told. I would also get parts and labour cover! Make sure you haggle hard! :thumbsup

and the last village you passed through has already confiscated 2 of your friends cars, they are returned only when a huge cash payment has been handed over, there is no going back..........

and when your high up in an alpine pass during a french holiday, have no phone signal and the nearest village is 25miles away how do you contact the RAC/AA ??

I suggest putting the hose back on and having a wizz in the header tank ;)
