I know one guy that thought about it quite seriously a couple of years ago, but ultimately decided against it. I think it had something to do with local planning laws.

Go in with your eyes very wide open :shock:. Probably easier ways to make a few quid - if it is with a view to investment.

My inlaws were looking at Bulgaria but most of the land that the houses are on are leasehold and even then nobody is really sure who owns most of the land, was advised by agents and lawers that things have been known to get messy with disputes. They've settled for Hungary...big house (newbuild),lots of land up in the hills in the middle of a forest about an hour from Budapest - all for about £30k :shock:

I was encouarged to buy there about 18 months ago - but didn't have a great desire to do it.

There are some great holiday places available for buttons out there.

I went to Bulgaria on holiday , to Sunny Beach which is the equivalent of Blackpool without vegetables . It was like going back to the eighties but not that good .

Thw worst hoiday I have ever had , my mate did not help the situation but the place sucked . :cry:
