Sorry dude . . . you asked to get pulled . . . I completely agree you probably did nothing wrong and were probably within the law at all times . . . but you played the game with them and they pulled you . . . you have to moderate your driving when the green eyes of envy and the blue eyes of el plod are in effect . . . as soon as they are out of the way . . . you may do as you please . . .

I have a lot of time for plods on the steet trying to deal with the scum of the planet that inhabits our streets with inadequate laws but this kind of behaviour is just taking the piss out of people that are unlikely to be high on drugs and are unlikely to try and stab them . . . ie. soft targets . . .

"pulled me over cos i have a nice car - f*ck off and get a life - go search for the neds, chavs, vandals, druggies, killers, theifs, rapists etc etc etc etc"

only my opinion :D

I haven't been pulled in ages, but Lewis Hamilton was pulled recently in his Merc.

Thinking about it I probably give the authorities a lot of respect, if I notice their presence. It's just a matter of being polite IME and if they see me noticing them then I'll probably notice other things too. If they suspect I haven't noticed them then if I was them I'd pull me IYSWIM ;)

and one of them's English

 :D

If the Police are on the scene, I keep the driving calm, it's not worth seeing if they're having a bad day or not.

Gorrie, your two police Ladies were probably just a bit hormonal

I had thought the couple of times I have met you you bear a passing resemblance to him! :D

Must just be me then

as for being pulled on foot, cop in London walked up to me as I sat on a bench at Old Bailey waiting for the bird,

"What are you doing"
erm sitting waiting for my girlfriend
"that sounds like a reasonable excuse"
erm (again) not an excuse, more a reason
cop then made some smart comment about synonyms or something then walked off? weird.

Maybe he had escaped from the asylum?

One of my old bosses suggested that I looked like a white Andy Cole a few years back, but I've not had Vinnie Jones before. Wish I had their money...

Sorrie Gorrie - I'm with the majority of what FD says - Coppers often give you a bit of leeway if you give them respect. The perception may have been that if you do that sort of thing with plod in attendance, what will you be doing once their backs are turned?

I'm afraid you just gave them the excuse they were looking for :(

"Sorrie Gorrie"... you're a poet....

What sort of thing? Thats what I don't get...

The mini roundabout was offset from my approach so was practically straight-over. I actually lifted slightly from 30 when I took it specifically because plod were behind (there was actually no need to really)... and just because the exhaust makes a noise when accelerating is no cause for pulling as far as I'm concerned. Simple fact is that I'm going to get up to speed quicker than them especially when they are tucked up behind a 1997 Mondeo.

I'm not really sure what respect I am meant to have given them in that instance. 1st time since passing my test 16yrs ago that I've been pulled (yes, I've never had any points touch wood) and I'm in no doubt whatsover that had I been in a Clio they wouldn't have batted an eyelid.

For what it's worth, I was very pleasant to the WPC... big smiles from me when she approached with a pleasant 'hello', and I retained a pleasant tone throughout, despite getting my point across. The thing that annoys me is that the conversation should never have taken place in the 1st instance.
