Cheers D,

also look out for the Scottish Elises Event signs. Once you go in the gate turn left and the go round the outside to the parking/paddock area!

Hi Guys,

I plan to be at the sprint tomorrow after speaking to Ed via email :D

The forecast is for rain down in South Lanarkshire (home) so I will need to play it by ear in the morning.

I hope to see you all there.

Thanks for organising it.

Paul - Red Westfield.

Although I couldn't make it along to do the sprint today, I was through in Edinburgh with a couple of friends and their 7 year old daughter and we thought we'd pop in to watch for a bit. Security guard started asking if we were "club members". I explained I was (even though there's really no such thing as an SE club member - we ain't a club!) and that we were just there to spectate (in friend's Civic with kid in back, so we were obviously not participating!)

He said there was no spectating and that we were not allowed in with a kid. Tosser. Called Ed who said he'd come out and have a word, but didn't want to risk getting the spectators (including kids) who were already in kicked out by tosser security guard.

Hope you had a good day folks.

Big thanks to Ed and Paul for keeping today's event ontrack even if I managed one or two off track excursions myself

It was really good fun. I was really consistent (i.e. slow) with barely half sec between my lap times but I just couldn't get the car to turn in. I would love to blame my tyres as they certainly weren't helping but I know that the lack of grip and cold tarmac was the same for all.

Kenny did a stonking job by missing all of the practice and being immediately on the pace. AndyD seemed to gain time on every run. Tambo was entertaining to watch but also bloody fast. DDtB was very quick and smooth and have to admit to being mightily impressed by his times which were a good 3 secs a lap faster than me in basically the same car.

Nobody disgraced themselves although Sanjoy did do a little mugging to the cameras :D

It was good to meet a few more folks also.

Thanks again Ed. Please let us know if we are due you more money.

Stewart
