dash lights dead

probably another no brainer but the dash lights have gone out on the S1. Plugged in a small compressor for the tyres and the cig lighter went dead. checked all fuses then cig lighter came alive.

dash lights now dead and one side light out rear right. checked bulb in light and seems ok, getting replacement today. all fuses seem ok on checking. everything else ok.

MOT tomorrow

any pointers?

Dash lights out are not an MOT fail, my Pug has had them out for a couple of years-just need to turn interior light on now and again at night to check speed!
Sorry not helpful on a fix but at least the MOT will be less of a worry.

Have you checked all the fuses?

Including the ones near the wiper motor? I bet you havent....

There are a selection of fuses under the wiper motor cover, one of the 5A ones has gone

went to Hellfrauds last night and picked up a pack of twentysquillion fuses and replaced everything - nothing like a bit of overkill is there?

and the lights came on...except on the dash.... haha, youre right...i didnt check those at the wipers.....will have a look tonight.....

car over with a friend who is putting it into the MOT.....fingers crossed...been driving around in a new clio...think the accelerator is broken...no matter what gear you are in the pedal doesnt work

iirc dash lights beings dead is a sign of earthing issues ? Clam off recently ?

Check all the fuses before chasing random earthing issues
