Great day, track was uber slippy at the start but a dry line appeared, eventually.

Kerbs stayed slippy though....

That was fun :D

My first track day in over 2 years and my first in the Exige

Today I discovered that it's easy to forget just how much fun can be had on track with these cars, and also just how rusty you get if you've not being doing it for a while. I managed to stick to my plan of taking it easy, but quickened my pace towards the end, started getting cocky...then had a HUGE spin at clark's

I only ever managed about 5 track days in my 111s and this, my 6th, was the first wet one - what a laugh! It's embarrassing to think that I've only managed 6 days in 5yrs of ownership though, must do more...

Big thanks to John, yet again a fantastic day. Maybe I'm masachistic but I really enjoyed the wet session at the start, whatever kind of "...steer" you want, it could be had at KH today. :D Unfortunately the scoobs and Evo's were running rings round most of the loti contingent early on, theres a lot to be said about 4wd!

Was being a complete hooligan, trying to rid the rears of what little tread they had left. Hit a couple of the corners right in the sweet spot today, the feeling you get when it comes together is fantastic. A number of huge tank slappers later, I ended up with a huge spin across the gravel on the right of Clarks. Luckily ended up back on the grass. Called it a day at 3.30 and went and got my tyres changed at Ronnies. Discharged most of the gravel stuck in my undertray into the paddock while ronnie changed the wheels, but the car still sounds like a maraca after the 40 odd mile home!

Top day, the beer is now flowing and Im happy as pig in s**t

Cant wait to see the photos Dave...pull your finger out!

Gareth its interesting that you say that. The only Exige to pass me today passed as I was recovering that spin.
I had caught and passed him a lap earlier and within a lap had caught and passed him again.

Apperently his middle name is "I'm a real racing driver" .

Theres summat def up with "I'm a real racing drivers" car. almost as if its not going to second cam. I was nearly through his boot on a couple of occasions in a straight line and our cars are identical!

There was no difference in straight line speed when I was behind him. We were even on the straights but under braking and from Duffus to the chicane I was pulling away.

big :beer to john for arranging this, was an excellent day!

I was the fool that managed to somehow spin........... on the warm up lap! a case of going in too slow with no power on  , I felt like a proper spaz!
I need to remember.........POWER!!!

managed to clock up a good 80+ miles and feel that by the end of the day my speed and line through the corners was greatly improved (obviously as it was drying but also from following Elises/Exiges, so :beer guys)

Only scary moment of the day was when I thought I was gonna be taken from behind by a ridiculously fast GT3 RS, that never seemed to brake

Yup, an excelent day all round & i managed to achieve 2 knockhill firsts today!

1. Not going into a gravel trap!!
2. First pax lap around the track (thanks vxjon)

Duffus drift and the scarepin were entertaining throughout the day, as was getting the odd wee shriek from shelly who told me she had "no fear" before getting into my car :D

Good to see everyone as usual :thumbsup
