 Best bet for that money mate will be ebay. The age-old addage is that an £8k elise is a £12,000 elise with £3k worth of work needing done! You're probably looking at a benchmark £10k thesedays though, with anything much under that likely to need further mechanical investigation before buying. However, I am biased as I spent way more than that and I don't want to see values decrease!!

 Spot on in my limited (7 Months and counting!) experience, maybe not £3k that all absolutly needed doing, but got done anyway :thumbsup It's addictive.... God knows what I'll be like when I start doing track days! (3rd Apr, can't wait!)

I'm willing to pay up to £10000 but I don't mind doing a bit of work to a car just as long as the important bits are ok, so anything between £8000 & £10000.

:welcome and hello.

Nice lupo btw, looks cool.

As dudes have said, a cheap elise is going to need work. I traded in my S1 3 weeks ago, and it felt fine, but it needed 1250spent on it in the end, and I genuinely thought there was nothing wrong with it (it passed its MOT on 28th Feb!) And having looked at elises last year when buying the s1, as anyone will tell you, there are some rough ones about. Unless you`re lucky like Mac... 8)

But if you know that and are prepared for a few surprises, then you`ll have a great time!
