Another recommendation for tonyg here
He must of spent hours setting up various systems for me to hear over several months and of course I ended up choosing exactly what he suggested within 5 mins of me walking in the shop
Beware though, I only went in to buy a hi-fi and got talked into buying a daft wee sports car

Can't speak for the solo specifically but arcam have always had a good rep for producing gear that gives a good all round performance where some compromise is required.shooomer wrote:Is Arcam Solo worthwhile or just a gimmick?
Their AV amps and DVD's are probably as good as you'll get (in that price bracket) if you want something that handles both music and movies well.
I'd reckon you could do a lot worse if you need a one box solution.
