p.s - I only think its a con because of the way we had to sell it...

One month 20,000 people entered the competition for a 911 and more than half of them were all within the same 1 square inch on the computer.

Oh and it was £60 for 1 shot when I worked there..

Its the uk competition regulations, it brings in an "element of skill" as opposed to a straight draw out a name, spot the ball is the classic competition of this ilk, and as JJ said its where the ref thinks the ball is, not where is actually photoshopped out.

And yes i have had a go quite a few times when flying all over the place :P

Which is why I dont understand why you dont get it, like I said my bro worked at the Glasgow one and would agree that people do win cars.

Its fairly simple - people buy tickets, they guess where a ball might be, someone wins a car. Get it?

Its all about chance, but then statistically you have more chance of being murdered in the UK than winning the lottery. Sadly I've never won the lottery but luckily I've also never been murdered

Only if you are going to talk pish

Set number of tickets for each game, you buy a ticket, you might win the car. Glad I was able to help

But its not lol.. Is it not a set amount of time the comp runs not the amount of tickets sold..??

And all cause I used the word "con"? Hypethetically (sp) its a con.... IMO. They tell you its easy - and its just not - or I'd have a DB9 by now :D

I do understand that they are not stealing peoples money like you said - cause thats theft...... Not a con...

IT IS a spot the ball competition - cause thats what your looking for... Whether its the actual ball or whether its "where the ref dude thinks it is" - its STILL a bloody ball thats missing....

I never knew me "talking pish" would annoy somene into a tantrum  So I apologise...

:damnfunny :damnfunny :damnfunny :damnfunny :damnfunny

p.s for measure (although you are so clever you will know this already i am SURE of it...)

Con - To swindle (a victim) by first winning his or her confidence..

I.E - "Buy a ticket at £20 and win a £100k car! Its that fu**ing easy fella"

Hi,

I have played a couple of times, and enjoyed the anticipation and dreaming of a win.

The referee guy is always sensible and picks a highly plausible place for the ball to be. So I see no difference between an actual spot the ball (where it really was) and this. In fact, I would say you have more of a chance of picking where he thought it would be other than some obscure dodgy pic where the ball has actually whacked someones napper and is miles away from where you think it might be.

I guess the jist of it is that you have a bit of fun....and maybe.....just maybe....... you might win

although not bloody likely....
