Brake Pads - New Supplier Carbotech Europe Ltd
Folks,
Just got some new brake pads for my Evo, while speaking to the supplier (Ian at Carbotech Europe Ltd) he indicated that he is also looking to expand there range into the Lotus Elise market.
There are a variety of different pads that Ian does from fast road to ultimate track. He has a great reputation in the Mitsubishi Evo market for supplying pads that stop on a sixpence. The MLR (Mitsubishi Lancer Register) have also performed a number of brake reviews in their magazine and the Carbotech pads come back highly rated.
If anyone is interested in getting any new high performance pads for their Elise then I would not hesitate to give them a call, or have a look on there new website (still under construction) for more info - http://www.carbotech-europe.com
Ian and Tim at Carbotech can be contacted on 01768 885000 or by email on sales@carbotech-europe.com
Thanks
DMW

Guys,
Ian is still getting the prices together and I have given him the forum address so that he can register and answer any queries, so hopefully we can watch this space.
For the Evo I went for the Panther/AX6 pads but the majority of owners on the MLR have tended to go for the XP8's.
I have never heard of any owners complain on initial bite on the XP8's.
Also enclosed a thread on the XP10 (track/extreme road) taken from a report on the MLR:
http://www.lancerregister.com/showthrea ... did=156045
Definitely nothing there about lack of ability from stone cold.
Cheers

):

P+/AX6 - (black)- Fastroad @ £ 89.00
XP8 - (silver) -Fastroad/Track @ £ 94.00
XP10 - (red) - Hard Track @ £ 100.00
----------------------------------
Rear - (Pad code - CT491)
P+/AX6 -(black) - Fastroad @ £ 85.00
XP8 - (silver) - Fastroad/Track @ £ 90.00
XP10 - (red) - Hard Track @ £ 95.00
UK Delivery @ £ 11.75 via interlink
Also asked me to respond about the query on the Pagids:
It is similar in feel to Pagid 4-2 but has slighty more bite and a higher temprature capabilty, also better from cold.
Thanks

I need new fronts soon, there is maybe a trackday in them but they will need changed before Donnington in March. Would he be interested in doing a super duper cheapo deal on a set of fronts in return for an honest and fair review following a full day on the Donny GP circuit which is known for its brake killing tendencies?
Super duper as in, I am tighter than someone from, say Dundee or Fife perhaps, so it had better be dirt cheap super duper.

Ps Kenny No comment about you being tighter than someone from Dundee/Forfar
and that's coming from an Aberdonian !!

Give the gypsy above a full set for his 106 cheap and let us get a review

Kenny, JJ,
I agree that they are relatively unknown for the elise. All I can say is that the reputation on the MLR is second to none
I am sure that once Ian has got his account set up he will post some comments up.
However looking forward to the 1st write up on them (whoever that may be).
Cheers
