How am I going to get my spare set of wheels down to Donny...

Long range weather forcast is rain..... :( I want to take both sets of wheels so I can pick between the T1R's or the 888's. I have a boot rack that would take two, maybe fit two front in the passenger seat... but that kind of rules out any proper spirited driving on the way down.

Is there anyone trailering a car down that would maybe manage to haul an extra set of wheels down as well. Might be usefull having a spare set down there with us anyway if someone ends up being down to the canvas on the track day, they can at least get home on legal rubber.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

When I went to Mykonos in the '70's there were two beaches that we used, Paradise and Super Paradise. One was for straights, and one was for gays.

If I was looking for John on Holiday, it would definately have been on Super Paradise beach.

ps At the last torrential KH John, my 48R's were coping as well or better than the other cars road tyres, 4WD excepted, and 888's are very similar as long as they have plenty of tread. Below 2mm however, like most R's, they are awful.

John.

Look at the SE Calendar picture for March. My route home from Donnie 2007.

Consider this...

I drove there and back on some ageing Maxsports. Including through the snow. Over the pass at Cray just north of that picture.

I am hardly a daredevil.

It was scary at times, but it could be done. If I could do it, so can you!

Put your 888s on and be done with it. You know it makes sense ;-)

From CLub Lotus:

Dear Club Lotus Member,

Our Donington Show is a little over two weeks away now and there¹s still just time to order your advance tickets from Club HQ and save £1.

Our Jim Clark display is looking fabulous with a unique collection of cars including Types 18, 25, 32B, 33 and 49 plus Jimmy¹s first road Elan and a special DVD film from Michael Oliver. We hoe it will be a fitting tribute to Lotus¹ greatest driver.

Ron Hickman is coming and is bringing his own Elan+2 which will be in the foyer alongside Malcolm Ricketts¹ unique just-restored M20 Metier, the original design prototype that became the +2.

Passenger laps of the GP circuit in an Elise Trophy racecar or 2-Eleven are still available for Saturday and cost only £25 for 5 laps with all proceeds going to Teenage Cancer Trust.

Amongst the display cars are a concours Essex Esprit, JPS Elan +2, Type 23 sports racer and some very special early historic Lotus¹ on the HLR/Lotus 7 stand.

There are all the regular trade and club stands, free Elise simulator and this year for the first time we¹ll have the 2008 Lotus Cars Roadshow in the main car park.

All the details are on our website http://www.clublotus.co.uk
