Yes you have. My car's on Advan Neova's and you were in it at East Fortune. More grip than Maxies. Shug was struggling with grip that day on the MaxsportsTom wrote: Haven't experienced Neovas on an S1 yet(:

As Kelvin says, my car is not really representative of the average Honda conversion, so should really be judged separately.
Firstly, N1 TUT is one of the earliest cars still on the road, '96, and has done over 130,000 miles, not one of them commuting. Together with road runs, TDE's, Stelvios, countless track days, and the Scottish Sprint and Hillclimb Championships, there are very few Elises that have suffered more abuse. Plus kerbs are there to give a straighter line, and cones are for clearing out of the way. On top of that, my car was for fun, never likely to be sold, so re-sale value was immaterial. I have had problems, but apart from the recent clutch failure, and that was after 35,000 miles on the Honda, none were engine/gearbox related. My bugbear has been driveshafts and CV joints, plus of course the standard Elise failures. The original engine mounts were under enginered, the rubber inserts were standard Rover, and the lower engine steady bar was not upto the job. This, together with Sprint starts and tyre warming, lead to engine movement. All these were re-designed, and supplied free of charge, even coming upto two years now, by BLiNK. Their support and back up has been brilliant. No more than I deserve of course<BG>.
My conversion originally did look similar to the other companies, all nice blue pipes and clean, but with modifications and re-routing, plus Buchan road crap, it is not a good advert.
On the other hand, who can remember passing me on track, apart from when it was down 50hp, or by indication?
I am now hoping for more overall reliability, the former abuse is just about in the past, so get back to keeping a close watch in your wing mirrors.

If you were passed when only at 150bhp thats still 30brake more than most folk. Plus you've got nitrons and sticky tyres.
Your still impressive for a 103 year old man. I hope i'm still driving quick when i'm your age. But in reality i'll be wetting the bed and shouting at all the kids in the street.
you not planning on having grown up by then?gordon wrote:So does this mean that your only quick coz you've got more power than everyone elsetut wrote: On the other hand, who can remember passing me on track, apart from when it was down 50hp, or by indication?
