I had a call from Bob Dickson again reference the numbers that have booked in for dinner on Saturday evening at Paxton House.

It seems that he is down on numbers this year from Club Lotus, and he is committed at this stage to at least 60.

I only have four entries in the Database, and I do not know if any of you have sent forms in saying that you are going, but if anybody is still planning on attending, could they please phone Bob, and/or let me know.

Andrew Laing
Colin Murray
Yvo Tuk
Ferry Kirkvliet

His details are on page 20.

Cheers

Tut

Firstly, apols for the 11th hour posting... due to family problems (my mother's health of late), I've kind of skipped this thread and all that is happening - simply thinking I couldn't commit, etc. But I reckon there's a very good chance I can come up for the display/parade/general day of good banter on the Sunday now. Sounds like it will be a great event! Am I too late?

Oh, and where do I find this database that keeps getting mentioned? Can't see a link

No problem Jason, everybody is welcome on Sunday, and all the Lotus's there will be in their own area and lined up to try and get the largest assembly ever in Scotland.

Many of us will be there from 0900 onwards, and it is half price entry fee for Lotus owners. You will have to subscribe to the Speed Fair Database, I will aprove you, and you can then put in your details.

Tut, I maye be in difficulty attending on Friday and believe it or not, it might not be car-related...

I'm in Ayr Sheriff Court that day so I may not get finished there until 4pm ... Might get finished before then though so happy to leave my slot open (please) and see how things pan out if that's m'kay with you

No probs Greg, I have five reserves, so one could start off in your place then you take over if you make it.

If he did the whole session, he could then repay you for it.

Just a reminder that Ronnie will be there for our KH sesion on Friday 6th June.

Could anyone who knows that they will require tyres, please phone him on 07711 577148 and let him know what you want.

He will also have a selection for anyone who is caught short.

I will shortly be selecting the drivers for the 20min track session on the Sunday, which unfortunately means picking 35 out of the 56 that have requested places.

I will be as fair as possible, probably splitting the cars into types/models so we have a good variety of models and colours, then selecting cars from each group, probably by lottery unless anyone has a better way. (That does not include putting your name in 10 times Kenny). However from past experience, be prepared for even that to be shortened or cancelled all together if the other events do not run smoothly.

The reason that I have held back is the Club Lotus slot in the afternoon may not be fully subscribed, so I would try and get the spare spaces if any, for those that missed out in the morning.

I will also try and get it cut down to two warm up groups on Friday as we only have two hours. I think everyone is an experienced track driver, there is no overtaking, so I do not see a problem with two Groups of 31, especially as we are going straight out on the Sunday with 35.

As most of you know, I can not exactly run around nowadays, so would welcome a couple of local volunteers to be there earlyish on the Sunday to help out with directing cars to our parking/show area, and lining them up in rows as required.

Cheers

Tut,

I kinda wondered about this, and was going to volunteer to support the Parking Attendants, assuming the family let me get away early enough in the morning to be there!

Drop me an email re: timings and requirements, and we'll take it from there.

I may need to borrow some Scottish Elises clothing to make me identifiable though, I think I only have a cap...somewhere !!

Is ScottF's merchandise still on the go, does anyone know?

Failing that I have a dayglo green jacket in the boot of the Golf ;-)

Hi tut,

I've called Ronnie and sorted out my pair of rear A048s for after the Friday session. Cheers. :thumbsup

I'm happy to come up early on Sunday and help with organising/directing. Just let me know when you want me to be there and where to go. I assume we just have an area and have to line everyone up in rows? Or have they to be organised by model or something like that?

Campbell, I've got 2 SE t-shirts (grey and navy) and if they fit me (size Large) then I'm sure they'll fit you. I can bring both so you can borrow one. As long as you don't sweat too much ;)
