What's next........?
Done 3 walshy days already.
Try and get one in every time he's up.
Thing is, I learn all these new tricks on the walshy days but never put them into practice. I'm obviously using the fundementals that he taught me, "rotational steering, trail braking, slip circles etc) but I never seem to use the good stuff like left foot braking, or balancing the car between the brake and throttle.
Mark,
Thanks for your kind words - I do overbrake myself at the hairpin - the result of dipping my front wheels in there once before. As for Duffas - I don't think I turned in twice at the same point all night, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Cheers
Mac

Seriously, it's more of a mental block about keeping that bit in reserve. Whittle away at the reserve, kimosabe...

I was really looking for ideas to be honest.
Don't like to think that I've done all I can to the car. There's obviously more that can be done to the engine but that's funny money that I'm not prepared to spend if I don't need to (and by that I mean the current one lets go)
I suppose there's an LSD for the gearbox - or even a sequential box but then that's serious money also.
Perhaps I'll just need to start again - with the S1

LSD unnecessary unless you're getting wheelspin out of corners (not bloody likely with less than 190lb/ft of torque....)
Sequential is a good toy and I'd snap one up if I had the money.
Why not concentrate on getting weight out of the car. See what you don't want/need and remove it. Then think about getting lighter versions of necessary bits.... Like the driver

The Roadsports were hitting 57-58's yesterday. Need to get on track soon and try and get up to race speed with these boys.

Don't bother with the Gav Kershaw 2.0, it's much overrated.mac wrote:

I have video footage of him him letting me past at Donny (he was in an Exige S btw).

In fairness to Kershaw, once you take his weight into account, the BHP/ton of the Exige S falls to that of a standard S1...alicrozier wrote:Don't bother with the Gav Kershaw 2.0, it's much overrated.mac wrote:
