Windscreen in a Hurry

Post by BiggestNizzy » Mon Jul 28, 2008 12:11 pm

I need my windscreen done as it has a big crack on it and my local constablulary insist that it should be done withing the next 21 days ;) I am going to phone my insurance when I get home anything I should mention/suggest I don't think it's a job for a mobile fitter and I worry about the clam not being fitted properly, If I could get someone to remove and refit the front clam (at the insurance company's expence of course) and make sure it's re fitted properly(better than my shoddy effort) that would be good, any suggestions ???

I think the windscreen suppliers will insist on a dealer (mine was done at MMC glasgow - about 3 times in total, when you count the f**k ups...) Not sure Glasgow are doing them any more - wouldn't touch them anyway...

Auto glass did mine. Took them about 3 days to get a screen first then 4 hours at their depot. No fuss :thumbsup

2 days before my insurance ran out too

After rushing to get my front pipe changed on Friday (ended putting a full stainless on), i to came back from a weekend run with a rather impressive cracked wind screen and smashed number plate ( misjudged road kill for a log looking like an hedge hog) . Because of my location i'am just going to let Auto glass change mine.

Autoglass Prestwick did mine, I'd take it to MMC if you get the chance. Fookers.

Call Fast Glaze Auto or FGA for short. They are based on South Street Glasgow, but will come to you if needed.

The main man is Danny and his number is 0785083661 or 0141 954 4333.

Tell him Dave from JMD Motors sent you.

Dropped my car off this morning at autoglass - screen arriving today, window will be dealer order so who knows when they`ll get it.

They had a red VX reg R33DVX sitting that had been in for a fortnight or something waiting on a screen
