I may need to see you at the airfield sometime on Friday morning ... I'll cover my share of accommodation though ...

I am not doing the Walshy day, but to split up the 600 mile Old Deer to Dover which is going to be difficult drive, rather than leaving at 0 crack sparrow fart hours on Friday morning, I could come down on Thursday with youse lot, have a laugh at you sliding all over the place, and get an extra nights piss up in.

Was almost going to cancel it completely as we had a letter this morning saying that our fixed rate mortgage was about to end, but as a valued customer, they were only going to increase payments by 50%.

However Verian said that as it could well be the last one, go for it anyway, and she will dig out her fish net tights, mini skirt, and lurex top, and check with Scotty where the action is nowadays down at the Harbour.

Hi Tut, I'm probably driving down to the Chunnel on the Friday, you're welcome to stay here the night before and convoy down.

Might not compare to a night out on the Thursday though!! Offer is there if you want it.

Cheers, Peter

Just off the phone with Walshy, and we are set to do the training day for 6;

The six being; AndyG, Robin, BennyB, ScottyC, Peter & Ali C.

They are booking the accom for us near the airfield, and we are to pay on the day - split between the 6 of us.

Andy will be arranging for tyre fitter to come for me and Scotty, so if anyone else will need tyres please let me know.

The current thinking is an early Thursday departure to put us near Walshy for dinner and drinks.

We will run the day with a 30 min lunch break instead of the hour, as we're looking to finish at 3.30pm, and leave at that time. Scotty, note, we'll need to have our tyres fitted before then (probably when we are doing the circuit in the afternoon) to allow ample time to make our Chunnel crossing, at 6.20pm.

Hi Dave

Sorry, just saw this now, after booking Walshy. Didn't realise you'd joined.

Have you checked with LOT you are on for Snett and Oulton as i know they were sold out about 3 weeks ago?

Maybe able to get 7 of us in for the Walshy day. Have you sorted crossings etc?

Andy

pm'd also :thumbsup
Hi Andy
All sorted with the tracks. Crossings to do. If Walshy can do 7 of us then that's great, if not I'll try to grab him for a bit of track time in France.

Yep, have PM'd Andy. i'm just starting a new job so should minimise the dissapearing if possible. Have PM'd Andy, you are number 6 of 6, I may be able to step in as a late reserve depending on what my new employer wants me to do straight away, won't know until WC 13th oct and don't want to mess people about.

Donkey Punch Tour 08 - Sorting with LOT - French Update - RE

Post by Andy G » Fri Oct 03, 2008 9:39 am

From Golding this morning;
"
it's getting quite messy now with people swapping over on a near daily basis - just hope it's all ok still..

all i really need from you is an exact list of who you think you have going.... ie. who has booked...

i've reserved a bunch of rooms but as we're doubling people up etc if you can send me the list of the cars going over i can double check that against the events tables then we can work out the exact number of rooms we actually need and who to pair up with whom."

What i have so far;

French section;
1. Andy & Uncle Ron (Atom R8 ATG + Elise R9 ATG)
2. Robin & Ross (Egor - S2 135R) sharing car
3. Ali & Peter (Exige and Elise SC)
4. Benny & Scotty (Elise SC and 2-11)
5. Kelvin & Ashley (Honda Elise ) sharing car
6. tut & Craig (Honda Elise + S2 Exige)
7. jj & rossco (Honda Elise + ?)
8. Hamish (Jacobite)
9. Dave (Wheelie)
10. Walshy &Em?? (TBC)(111r)

Is anyone missing from this list? Hamish has just taken Big D's spot. (its a mare trying to keep on top of who's coming and going!)

Now for Robin & Ross, Kelvin & Ashley you may have to pay one nights stay in France.

Hamish and Dave, do you guys want to share, or happy to pay one nights accom? Your call.

Perfectly happy to pay whatever. Ashley will be happy as long as the room has a shower, a mirror and a plug point for her hair weapons of mass straightening.

BTW I'm proper old school today. I dropped the Elise into Steve Googlydoogly motorsport to get the tripod joints checked over and replaced if necessary and he gave me a loan car. I'd not really refer to it as a courtesy car but it's great. It's a red 325 Beemer touring (E30). It's great fun although wallows a bit in the bends and it stinks of a combination of fuel, fumes, oil and old car. Also takes me back as I used to own one years ago.

Paying for accommodation in France will be fine. Keep up the good work :-) That'll teach you to come up with hare brained road trip plans ... "Road Trip. Road Trip. Road Trip." I need a Bluto sticker for my car :-)

Cheers,
Robin
