For those who left early today, you have MISSED a great afternoon session.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Quite a few crashes unfortunately, but all are repairable, but it goes to show how unforgiving a track like oulton park can be, especially in the wet.

1. Your luckiest escape ever was on Stelvio2001 between Zamoa and Ribadeo and don't your forget it!robin wrote: I had my luckiest escape ever too when I decided to overtake at the same time as the car in front had decided to pull back onto the line
2. This may indicate you have found the limits! Be careful, Jedi.

Re: Donkey Punched...
Had no intention of leaving early but given that my car didn't pass the very strict noise test and none of the marshalls could find my bung that fell out on track, (don't think they looked that hard tbh), I had no option but to go home as they wouldn't let me on.Modena Scotland wrote:For those who left early today, you have MISSED a great afternoon session.

Bit of a waste of time/money for 10 minutes so pretty p!ssed off all in. No point hanging about and boring everyone with my moans.

Think he enjoyed the drifting at the first corner.

What where the noise limits and what where yours, take it you passed with the bung in?

Hi
Great to see so many of you guys @ Oulton - your enthusiasm for driving/enjoying yourselves is infectious - thanks for that, as it is appreciated
Noise limit was 105db (static) - sadly, that's not unreasonable in this day & age.
Hope the long distance travellers got/have a good, safe drive home
too. Fook knows, how Modena, Andy & Scotty manage in their lightweight motas

For those who left early today, you have MISSED a great afternoon session.

Still Game Mini Tour returned safely to Crieff.......
Many toilet stops
Lots of Red Wine

Many Laughs
A strange but enjoyable day at Oulton ..........Day over at 1130 according to tannoy. No power meant cafeteria was serving tepid food in the dark
Ali thought my two lamb pies in gravy looked like a double mastectomy with man gravy

The Gayers left early........
Top Marks to WankR for lobbying the Staff at Oulton to reopen the track after the snow stopped.
A very quiet track afforded plenty time to learn your car control limits on a treacherous track.
P Zeros still not showing any signs of wear after 70 laps of 4 wheel drifting
Stopped for chips in Lockerbie
Two Haggis
One Smoked sausage
One Fish
Two portions chipa
Mushy Peas
Two pickled onions
Two large cans of that stuff that's made from bulls pish and keeps you alert........I spent most of the M74 scouting the fields looking for Friesians
Wonder if Mass,Scotty and Andy made it back without frostbite

Re: Donkey Punched...
Noops and Meatball still running in BST??
Home safely at 8.30 after an uneventful journey home. Came off the M74 at Abington, to give the car a shake down over the back roads, only to see Ali C heading the opposite direction (southbound) at speed
Suspect he was either having another turtle problem or just seeing if if he could beat his tank filling record by making sure it was really empty
Loved Folembray and Snetterton. Abbeville was too technical and small for my liking. My good friend Pete Santos was driving my car at Oulton and he felt that the circuit was dangerous and could do with some alteration at the exit of druids ( a few others agreed).
Thanks to Scotty (Lotus sales rep) the big lesson for me is I need a 211; it will make me a better driver and I'll never get caught by a french speed trap
Will post more tomorrow (and pics) if I get a chance...
