Took the Elise in for the MOT on Saturday.
Have to say, I'm puzzled at the statement about removing the rear undertray. First time I've really had a good look under the car but 4 jacking points are fully exposed with the undertray in place, easily allowing the front and the rear of the car to be jacked up at the same time.
I was glad I was present throughout the test though as I had to stop the guy jacking the rear of the car on the wishbones

Thats not all of the jacking points though - thats the middle / front ones.
Jack it off of them only and this can happen

I've had mine rocking nicely like a seesaw on the centre jacking points (again, during an MOT) I do sincerely hope it was just a jack on a 4-poster lift and he hadn't lifted it with the front/middles on a 2 poster.... (see above...)

4 post lift

Never noticed any rocking either, the car felt solid enough.
Would I be right in thinking 99% of Elise/Exige MOT's are conducted using only these 4 jacking points ? Nobody seems to have confessed yet to removing undertrays to expose the 2 points at the rear of the car for a MOT.

My MOT's get done with a scissor lift on a 4-poster. They are well-dodgy though

(
that is obviously a joke, mr DVLA) The MOT guidelines for the car state that the customer must arrive with the undertray removed - have seen that with my own peepers on the VOSA instructions. It can be done jacking one side at a time.
