Just Followed Martin

Post by Rusty » Mon Feb 09, 2009 11:50 am

Well was coming home and saw the car go past my house and went "same number plate, i'll follow him and say hi"

so followed him 5 cars behind all the way down Nithsdale road till Dumbreck train station where he turned left, so i followed (he had done a u turn) so i gave a toot,

down came the window

"do i know you?" asked the driver

"umm, its martins car"

"its in getting work done"

"ahh ok then"

so i spotted martins car, but without him in it!
that means he may be out on the bike :P

Especially when it's meant to be in getting fixed by vauxhall and they said it wouldn't be ready until Tuesday

:chainsaw :protest

I've just checked my voicemail and arnold clark have left me a message to call them back - I assume they weren't doing stupid miles an hour adam ?

EDIT : im in the panda today - 2 wheels + 84 torques + snow = certain death

Nah they weren't doing anything stupid, they were stuck behind a car doing 30, and i was a few cars back so couldn't see if they were doing anything daft.

glad i pointed this out then, will happily vouch for it being driven if you want to put in a complaint to arnold clark.

yeah i was in the car instead of the bike today, first day i've been feeling well but not safe enough for the bike lol.

i have the same amount of torques now aswell :D just mine are noisier.

Just called them - standard arnold clark procedure to do a 1/4 mile "safety check drive" on each car

On the plus side, thanks to the AA a new alternator and battery just cost me £25 :thumbsup

EDIT : Care to enlighten me on how "noiser" = "double the torques it had when it left japan"

That's just fecking nonsense  Safety check! For an alternator and a battery? I think an ammeter would be more appropriate
Tell them they owe you 4 new tyres and half a tank of fuel
