Just had the email in from GSMC. Yep one night did have closed sessions for a single seater which was a pain. Can also be a variety of sheds, but I have found the nights to be relatively quiet with generally good manners. I am just away to try and book but must find out if I have an MOT or not

Knockhill Tarmac Testing/Track Night

Glenrothes MSC have Knockhill circuit booked for Monday 4th May - that is the Bank Holiday Monday - from 6pm to 8pm, arrive by 5:30 for signing on and safety briefing.

This event is open to non-members as well as members, and may be handy for any rally crews needing a tarmac shakedown before the Jim Clark Rally later this month.

Rally cars, road cars, kit cars, race cars, shopping trolleys or whatever, are all welcome.
Competition licenses and overalls are not needed, but valid current road licences must be shown.
Drivers and passengers must wear helmets. Knockhill have some helmets for hire.

You can enter and pay online at http://www.gmsc.org.uk/news.cfm?id=11

Car and first driver, £65.00 if booked and paid in advance. Second or additional driver sharing the same car, £10.00. Passengers are free, but must sign on for insurance reasons.

Pay online on a secure PayPal checkout page. If you already have a PayPal account it will be quicker and easier, but if you do not have a PayPal account you can still pay with your credit or debit card. You will be given the opportunity to open a PayPal account, but this is not essential if you dont want to. GMSC have no access to your card details, we see only your name, address and email address. We will use these details for administration and to inform you of other events. You may opt out of this list at any time.

Online booking closes 10pm Sunday 3rd May.

If you do not book and pay in advance, the cost will be £70 cash on the night IF there are any spaces left; club members will take priority.

Expect to see lots of you there.

Online Membership Payments
You can now also join or renew your membership and pay with your credit or debit card or PayPal, on the club site at http://www.gmsc.org.uk/membershippayment.htm

Any queries or problems, let me know.

I've never been asked once to show them my MOT in any of my cars so I reckon you'd be safe.

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

I managed to book online last night but it gives no indication of how near to capacity it is. I have done two previous ones. The first was very quiet and the second one I think was the same bank holiday Monday last year and there were loads of arrive and drive punters. I don't recall anyone being turned away. If you are definitely up for it you would be safer just booking it online anyway.
