The Skye Challenge and Help For Heroes (NLC)

Post by Ron » Tue May 19, 2009 2:40 pm

Hello All :)

Myself and fellow SE member TommyK will very soon be undertaking a scottish sea kayaking and mountaineering challenge in an effort to raise money for the 'Help For Heroes' charity. For those of you unfamiliar with HFH it was set up to help improve the lives of wounded servicemen and women. We have set ourselves the ambitious target of raising £10,000 but through the generosity of friends, family and complete strangers we are getting there.

The details of our challenge can be seen here on our web page:

http://web.me.com/kieronross/SkyeChallenge/Welcome.html

If any of the SE community feel inspired to donate a small amount it would be HUGELY appreciated.

Thanks for reading and TommyK and i hope to meet most of you on 05/07/09 :drive

Hi All :wave

Much as we both feel like a pair of pikeys trying to get honest people to part with their cash, I think this is a genuinely important cause and any assistance is massively welcomed.

This is a pic taken at the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge whilst training up in Lochaber last month. Unfortunately this time there's no scope for taking the Loti - unless anyone knows a way of fixing a 5m kayak to the roof...

Thanks in advance for any support. :thumbsup
