Just noticed that KH now have a 105db noise limit posted on their site..
Anyone know if they have started actual testing yet..assume this will soon be applicable for all bike and car trackdays?
End of a (very loud) era.
Take care,
Frank

No testing done last night, AFAIK thats been up on their website for a while but never really 'enforced' as such.

Hope not! Might have to put my standard exhaust back on, as I reckon the Stage2 must be higher than 105db. Anyone know for definite?
I don't understand why they would have a noise limit

Who is it going to bother? The local farm animals??

Probably enforce it as much as they do the £10K for HM days.

ps N3 is about 84db static, so it should not be a problem anyway.

it will be nowhere near 105db mate unless its shafted. Think my stage II which was properly loud was only 96/97.
The Mule did manage an outrageous 107db, but that was after Uncle Ron had blown everything out of it on DP tour
105 is race car loud

The Knockhill website has stated a 105db limit for years, it's never been enforced.

I remember measuring a certain Rossybees 7 (after he had the silencer off) at a fairly outrageous level.
Most Elises will be well below this level - if you know my car it measures at 95 db and it's a lot louder then most Elises.
If you live in the Aberdeen area i have access to an SPL meter if you want your car measured. if anyone wants their car measured i'll be at the Scooby club track day next Saturday and will take it with me (if i remember
