Not sure yet, probably going to either break it or fix it and sell it whole, needs engine rebuild etc

Think I will be a while saving for an Exige!

Have you spoken to Brian Young about the mark 2 engine re-build?

I think it's going to be a while before i have the pennies for an Exige sadly, but I will continue to scrimp and save....

I have a 1979 RS2000 that needs to be sold first too and lots of bits for fords needing sold so once I have sold the dead wood I can go for my dream Exige :)

Is there a difference in gear change "sloppyness" between the elise and exige ???? I have been in anthonyyules yellow S2 exige as pax and loved it.....ignited my fire for another lotus :)

I would be hillclimbing my exige and tracking it too, general "cheap" motorsport thrills..... :)
Are you the same Iain i met at Tony's before Xmas? Sorry, never answered this as i have no grounds for comparison as i've never been in an n/a version yet. If you want to go for a run in my Exige S you are more than welcome.

Did you have your RS2000 on show at the NE Motorshow recently? There were some nice examples there. Very tidy.

Hi Peter

Yeah thats me! I live just round the corner from you!....Was out in Tonys car before he sold it and fancy one myself now, but will be a while before I have the pennies for it :( I would love a run in your 'S' :)

Do you still have your white one??? My RS has not moved out of the garage in a year and has the engine out of it at the mo, so the one you saw at aberdeen motorshow wasn't mine :(

Dominic, My escort had a year old Jems full race pinto in it, took it out 2 days ago, needs a bore and hone and general rebuild (Slight Bore-wash) and if i decide to do it I will take it back to Jems - thinking about it, the performance cant be a million miles away from an exige in a way...190BHP...900KGS.... Most likley I will break the car tho, I have people interested in almost all the bits so wont take long to get rid of :)

I do indeed still have the white one. It's not done many miles in the last few months unfortunately! If you want to come and have a look and get out for a run in it, let me know when you are free, and we can sort something out.

I'd love a MkII RS2000. My neighbour had one when i was about 5. I think he got it brand new and it was the dogs b*llocks as far as i was concerned and have loved them ever since. Unfortunately, due to my lack of knowledge with mechanics i don't think i'd be the right person to own one. :( A car like that needs a certain type of owner. There were a few at the NE Motorshow, along with the guy across from me's Escort Cosworth.

P.S Apologies if i've seen you going about and haven't said hello! I'm getting really bad with faces in my old age!!!
