Yes, it was me Driving The Clio or should i say Jens Clio  .

I was actually pretty impressed how well it done. I drove to work in it this morning and the o/s/f started to knock, turns out i had managed to slacken a wheel off......could have been dodgy.

Tut - Jen and I both enjoyed the pax ride although Jen did say that she kept getting her legs in the way of your hand when changing gears.........

Yeah, I think she was doing it on purpose to distract me, but at least it stopped me going into reverse by mistake.

So what are you trying to say here? That you'd have been even quicker if you'd had all four wheels tightened up?

Please no.

Na, surely the loose wheel was the secret to the cars overall performance ;)

Sedate drive in the Jaaaag down to Tormaukin Hotel for a cold frothy pint of "Bitter and Twisted" Ale

Excellent day - especially after my last minute reprieve from jury duty. :D

Really enjoyed the varied conditions, even the wet which I normally don't like. My recent geo set-up and Walshy day have improved my confidence when it gets slippy.

Thanks to Mass, Andy and Ali for taking Tony out as a pax. He really enjoyed them!
I must have been REALLY slow in comparison since he literally fell asleep :tired when out with me - and almost rolled into my lap on the Duffus left-hander

Very impressed with the LOT driving standards - very good etiquette on display - and the southern guys didn't take long to learn Knockhill.

I'll need to get some lessons from you. Hope Jen got here Clio back in good shape!! I parked up in the pits next to the guy with the wrench who kindly let me borrow it and managed to tighten all passenger side nuts up slightly. Drivers side were all tight. Apologies i've forgotten his name but very helpful chap with a White Exige Cup 240.

A great leveller the rain. I enjoyed lapping behind Robin when it was pretty wet, his smooth driving style and road tyres suit the wet, so my slick 48R's and power did not come into it.

However he could not get past a certain other S/C Honda, and after a while I almost used special privileges and overtook on the right to make the point, but knew that Robin would not approve of it. Bloody frustrating though.

tut

ps really impressed that nobody has said that they overtook tut when he was not letting them deliberately pass.

Thought it was just me. He wouldn't budge

Peter - I wouldn't recomend anyone taking lessons from me! Although there are a few guys on here who i'm sure would give you a few pointers on how to do it properly.

IRTA as fat slow barsteward ;-) I did enjoy watching your car swaying 20 degrees left/right everytime you tried to put the power down exiting the hairpin though :-)

Has Clare recovered from her second visit to the gravel trap? ;-) After me hammering it home to her that if she was to lose control of the car she should just plant the brake pedal and wait for the car to stop, I was shouting at her to release the brakes as we headed straight into the gravel trap with a full turn of lock and the front wheels locked up ... she was doing as she was told, which was fair enough :-)

I was very impressed with the progress both her and Jamie made during the day - in fact after the last stint in the car with Jamie I told him that he couldn't drive my car anymore as he was now too quick and I felt it would be better if he crashed your car not mine ;-) Clare could still have improved further if she hadn't chickened out after what was a very minor excursion to the gravel. We were getting plenty of speed along the main straights and her monster braking would have gotten her a few scalps by the time the day was out I think.

Cheers,
Robin

Almost all been said already - a great day and I thought the weather was brilliant. For a full day booking to get a couple of wet periods broke up the day nicely. I too had only done one wet day before but found my confidence really picking up in those conditions and was passing cars who were passing me earlier when dry.
Was speaking to a couple of the down south LoT guys at the briefing and caught up with them later (red exige and yellow S2 with white square on door). Neither had been to Knockhill before and both were absolutely loving it and thought it was a great wee track.
