I agree, got it on the Exige and it does protect the paint soaking up all the stone chips. Not cheap but a lot less than a respray.

Was thinking about this today. Can't you just but it on the roll, cut it out and do the old fairy liquid trick to apply it?!

Anyone got a template... ?

Good effort, looking fantastic. 8) 8) 8) Think i'd stick it in a garage and get another to actually drive! Would be worth a fortune in years to come.

Got nosy this evening and popped over to Ali's for a look see. You really have to see the car in the flesh, the colour is amazing. More than that Alan and Jen's attention to detail is astonishing. Rebuilt better than Lotus managed themselves. Going to be a real head turner Alan will love it as he likes it when people stop and stare  .

Really tidy engine install.

ready for it's geo.

Really shows the way the colour changes depending on the light.

Forgot to take one of the interior, but the seats look brilliant. 1st class job, probably one of the best S1's in the UK if not the best.

Carefully measured, elevated work platforms I'll have you know...blocks o wid indeed!
Means the toe can be adjusted fairly easily without moving the poles and wire. Very careful up and down though... :thumbsup

Garage loft is a job for tomorrow Andy, floor gotta wait until that's done. Floor will be levelled first and not sure it will be paint...

Me and Ali managed to get the car ready for its M.O.T today. Sadly it failed on Emissions, only allowed 0.3 CO and its sitting at 10.0  . I have to get thinking on where i've went wrong. I was always worried about emissions as its the only thing i can't check at home, especially with the way im running the Honda.

Really I should be running a mappable ECU (IE Hondata) but it was a massive cost so hoped to use the standard ECU then upgrade in the future. So i converted my loom to use the Jap Ecu (no immobiliser & wideband 02). All runs fine apart from the emissions. I am only using the primary 02 which may be the problem.

It would be good to hear from any of the other Honda'd Elise's, see if there running standard ECU's and more importantly if you are using both 02 sensors. Any comments welcome.

Cheers
Alan

P.S Thanks for all the help Ali ! :thumbsup

Mine doesnt have a second lambda sensor but I was told it could benefit from one?

According to the MOT results I just dug out the file the CO on the two fast idle tests it was 0.18 and 0.21 with whatever ECU the linkups have (hondata i think), if thats any help...
