Does anyone know who does the best deal for 2/3 cars?

Post by Andy G » Fri Jun 23, 2006 9:28 am

Hi Guys

Anyone got any thoughts on this. Don't really fancy having to pony up for all 3 cars when i can only drive 1 at a time?

I do recall someone getting a quote that allowed them to have 2 cars ont he same policy?? Anyone got any advice on who to call??

Thanks

Andy

Ask Robin about it, he's been trying for a while I think with little success.

well, look set to save £250 by moving to Elephant!

Nice!

The guy on the phone at Admiral should have been shot - brutal. More expensive and then transfered me to another company where the phone went dead! Magic!

Hard to persuade yourself to fork out more money on insurance when the bloody thing isn't even on the road!!

I posted this on a thread about Admiral Multi car. Seemed pretty competitive for me. Elise 111R and Exige were each about 320 quid. Esprit GT3 was less. ....

----------------------

Dunno if this has been covered before ... but.. as I posted over on the Westfield Forum..

There have been a few threads on the Kitcar sites about folk wanting one car insurance policy that covered more than one car. I was certainly one of them folk. I saw the Admiral Multicar advert on tv and gave them a call expecting the usual disapointments when it comes to insurance...

But... I am well impressed. Its probably not quite a one-policy thing but it does allow insuring more than one car (up to 5) in the one 'group of policies'.

The quotes I got for each individual car were substantially lower than anything else I had been quoted for individual cars and they give a healthy discount on the first car if you insure 2, the 1st two cars if you insure 3, the first three cars if you insure 4 etc. To accomodate different renewal dates they quote on a pro-rata basis for the 1st year to bring the renewal dates for all the cars together.

All in all I added up that I saved the equivelent of nearly 2 insurance premiums and that was dispite 3 of the cars quotes being Lotus. The premium for a lotus esprit GT3 ended up starting with the number 1!!!! I didnt ask for the Westie to be quoted for so dont know what their kit-car policy is like mind.

Hope that helps someone else

Give Heritage a call. They do family fleet policies.

Cheers
Kelvin.
